About MAND

The Massachusetts Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (MAND) is an affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, which is the nation's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals. The Registered Dietitians of the MAND shape the food and nutrition choices of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and its over 1,600 members are committed to promoting optimal nutrition, health and well-being.


MAND exists for its members and to promote Registered Dietitians as the best resource for food and nutrition information. The strongest asset of the organization is its members, who represent a wide range of settings and practice areas including:

MDEF Scholarships

For 2024, MDEF will be giving out two MDEF scholarships and one MDEF Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) scholarship to deserving nutrition students, each in the amount of $1500. Please pass along to any nutrition students or interns who may be eligible to apply!
