PART 4: The RD’s Toolkit: 5 Key Parenting Practices for Raising Healthy Eaters Stephanie Meyers, MS, RD, LDN Thursday, April 15th, 2021 6:30 - 8:30 pm (virtual 2.0 CEU event)

Parents crave simple strategies to get kids eating healthy food. More vegetables, less junk - they've tried all the tricks, but feeding a family well can be a frustrating feat. This interactive session offers clinicians and parents alike practical, real-word strategies for connecting with kids when it comes to eating. We'll unpack case studies, gain detailed action steps, and discuss your daily mealtime struggles.

Strengthen your RDN skill set for engaging healthy habits in kids and learn new ways to help families (and your own!) manage food battles. The takeaway is a behavior-based plan for feeling less fed up at the family table. Goals: - Identify two common parenting behaviors that affect how kids form habits around food. - List two strategies parents can use to deal with kids rejecting food. - Describe three behaviors you can teach parents to engage kids with new foods.

COST: $20 MAND members, $30 non-members, $10 students.
