Telehealth Town Hall

  • Event
  • Wednesday, April 27, 2022
Details:

Please join MAND's Executive Committee, Director of Public Policy and Nutrition Payment Specialist on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. for an update on MAND's advocacy to increase access to and reimbursement for MNT provided by telehealth.

MAND has hired a lobbying firm to engage with members of the state legislature to advocate for coverage of and payment parity for MNT as a key component of chronic disease management. The current telehealth bill will end on Jan. 1, 2023, and we are working to ensure MNT is included and reimbursed fairly in any new bill. In addition, we hope to meet with insurance carriers to prove the cost-effectiveness of our services and prevent further reimbursement rate cuts.

Come learn about the meetings we have held to date, and the meetings coming up soon. Come to ask questions and share your ideas on how to take an integrative approach as we advocate on behalf of our profession!

The event is open to all MAND members and other dietitians working in MA who wish to learn more and ask questions. We hope to see you there.
