Join our energetic team of industry leaders in integrative, performance, and lifestyle medicine. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Dietitian to join our team for leave of absence coverage Dec ‘24 - Jan ‘25, then transitioning to a permanent PT role.
Synergy Private Health is a concierge medical practice centered on integrative primary care, performance medicine, prevention and wellness. We provide nutrition guidance to our patients (members) amongst other health coaching including excise and behavioral change. As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive nutrition counseling and guidance to our members, helping them achieve their health and wellness goals. You will collaborate closely with our physicians, clinical, and wellness teams to assist members with creating personalized nutrition plans that may include plant-based, Mediterranean, low FODMAP, gluten-free, dairy free, elimination diets and anti-inflammatory diets.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough 1:1 assessments of our members’ nutritional needs, medical history, and lifestyle factors to develop personalized nutrition plans.
Provide evidence-based nutrition coaching and education to patients, addressing their specific wellness concerns and goals using a collaborative approach.
Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their nutrition plans, ensuring they are on track to achieve desired outcomes.
Provide guidance and support to patients in implementing sustainable eating habit changes, including meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking strategies.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes in a timely manner while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Stay up to date with the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition and lifestyle medicine, incorporating new findings into practice.
Facilitate small group presentations, create educational materials, blogs/ articles, and culinary medicine recipes for our newsletter and website.
Collaborate with other team members such as physicians, nurses, member liaisons and health coaches, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Participate in team meetings and wellness initiatives.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Current RD credential and Massachusetts LDN license required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Registered Dietitian, preferably in a private practice and may include experience in a medical practice or clinical setting
Functional Medicine nutrition training strongly preferred
Skills, Abilities, and Competencies Required:
Strong knowledge of nutrition science and evidence-based practices.
Skilled in Functional Medicine/Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine approach, understanding of Sports Nutrition desirable.
Familiarity with the importance of gut health and the relationship between food and the gut microbiome
Experience with weight loss counseling including building a healthy relationship with food and a sustainable, wellness promoting lifestyle.
Proficient in technology including working with electronic medical records, basic understanding of wearable technology/ trackers.
Proficiency in using nutrition assessment tools and software for meal planning and analysis
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, dependable, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Strong motivational interviewing skills
Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner, and build trust with patients
A passion for promoting health and wellness through healthy eating habits
Ability to adapt to changing environments and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team which includes MDs, NPs, RNs, medical assistants, health coaches, dietitians as well as front desk and membership team staff
A commitment to integrity and ongoing professional development in the field of wellness and lifestyle/ performance medicine.
Job Details:
Leave of absence coverage: ~15-20 hours per week from 12/4/24 – 1/8/25
PT after 1/8/25 for ~8-10 hours/week
Hybrid, with in-person sessions at the Synergy office in Wellesley
Hours of operation: M-F, 8:00 am -4:30 pm, hours flexible based on needs of the members
Compensation: $45 – $60 per hour depending on experience and skill
