MAND IDEA Presents its Annual Summer CEU Series with this year's theme being "Food as Medicine Through a Multicultural Lens." 
 
Food as Medicine Partnership: A Plant-Based Food Prescription Program Benefiting Underserved Communities in Grady Health System | Jasmynne Blacks, MS, RDN & Dhana Blissett, MS, RDN, LD | Thursday August 15 at 7:00pm EST for 1.25 CEUs
 
Through this webinar, attendees will learn about the cutting edge food prescription program offered to Grady Hospital patients. Based in Atlanta Georgia, the hospital serves a large proportion of low-income patients. Ranked as the 10th largest public hospital in the United States and only level 1 trauma center in Georgia, Grady’s focus is on expanding opportunities to better serve marginalized communities.
 
Participants will hear from Food Pharmacy Manager (Jasmynne Blacks) as well as Teaching Kitchen Manager (Dhana Blissett) regarding strategies and practices in place to positively enhance the health and well-being of program participants and their families.
 
The CPE activity application for Food as Medicine Partnership: A Plant-Based Food Prescription Program Benefiting Underserved Communities in Grady Health System is pending CDR review and approval for 1.25 CPEUs.

For 2025, MDEF will be giving out two MDEF scholarships and one MDEF Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) scholarship to deserving nutrition students, each in the amount of $1500. Please pass along to any nutrition students or interns who may be eligible to apply! Click here to apply.
